Ac check up, condenser fan amps 1.14, data plate is faded unable to see amp rating, compressor amps at 9.28, unable to see amp rating, dual cap hood at 45.3/5.5 out of 45/5 mfd, condenser fan motor shaft very rusted and worn, refrigerant r22 levels ok, no indications of any leaks, indoor temp split only 10 degree difference due to inefficient ac system. Contactor has burnt and pitted marks indicating wear, unit does not currently have a hard start kit or surge protector, installed client provided filters, washed condenser coil, test ran system working at this time. Customer has had a previous quote to replace his system and he is not ready to invest in that size of a project at this time
No heat on a Coleman furnace, found ignitor on the unit to not respond to voltage, verified 113v at ignitor with no function, replaced with blowfly on hand and found that the high limit switch was tripped and wouldn’t reset, I did manually reset the switch and tested operation, the system ran to the target temperature.
Installed a Rheem 50 gallon natural gas water heater, with a pressure expansion tank to extend its life by relieving excess pressure when the water inside heats up. Installed a water heater safety drip pan to protect against damage due to leakage and a recirculation pump.
